VS Factory 4131 Daytona Review – Best Daytona Replica in 2026

Why VS Factory 4131 Is One of the Best Versions in 2026

To be honest, the Daytona replica market has changed dramatically over the past two years.

Back in 2024, C Factory, also known as Clean Factory, was still considered one of the best. At that time, I personally felt that the workmanship of the VS Factory 4130 Daytona was not as good as C Factory. The dial and hand details on V1 Factory were also more refined than VS.

When customers asked me which Panda Daytona they should choose, I usually recommended C Factory or V1 Factory.

But things change quickly.

By 2026, the situation had completely reversed.

C Factory had closed, and the remaining stock from V Factory had basically disappeared. Among the 4131 Daytona replicas currently available, VS Factory and BT Factory have become the two main choices.

VS Factory focuses on the top end of the market, while BT Factory offers better value for money.

For the 4131 Daytona, I currently only stock VS Factory.

The reason is simple.

The Dandong 4131 is currently one of the best clone chronograph movements available in the replica market, and VS Factory was one of the earliest factories to use it.

Its overall workmanship and movement regulation have also been very stable.

If you want to understand the technical background of the 4130 movement, you can also read my analysis of the Rolex 4130 movement. I will explain the relationship between the 4131 and 4130 below.

What Is the Difference Between 4131 and 4130

This is one of the questions customers ask me most often.

What exactly is the difference between the 4131 and 4130, and is it necessary to upgrade?

Here is the simple answer.

There is no major difference in the basic structure, and their stability is also similar.

The main differences are in two areas.

The first difference is the ball bearing system.

The 4131 uses a denser bearing structure than the 4130. The 4130 has around seven balls, while the 4131 uses more.

The direct result is that the rotor produces less noise when it moves.

When the room is very quiet at night, you can sometimes hear a slight rustling sound from a 4130 movement when the watch is placed on a table.

This sound is almost absent on the 4131.

During normal daily wear, the difference is not significant, but in a quiet environment, the 4131 does feel more refined.

The second difference is the metal rim around the ceramic bezel.

The 4131 Daytona design has an additional metal ring surrounding the ceramic bezel, while the 4130 version does not.

Visually, this makes the 4131 version look more refined.

However, there is also a disadvantage.

If the bezel suffers a heavy impact and the ceramic insert breaks, the surrounding metal ring can also become deformed.

During repair, the metal ring must first be corrected before a new ceramic insert can be installed.

As a result, repair costs can be higher than with the 4130 version.

In terms of power reserve, the 4131 is rated at 72 hours, the same as the genuine movement.

In actual testing, a fully wound movement generally runs for around 65 to 70 hours.

The difference compared with the genuine watch is very small.

There is another detail worth mentioning.

Some factories promote the 4801 movement as a cheaper version of the 4131.

In reality, the 4801 is a simplified version of the 4131.

The winding system has been changed from bidirectional winding to unidirectional winding.

It has nothing to do with the 7750 movement, but its overall manufacturing level is clearly lower.

I personally do not stock this movement.

How to Identify a Dandong 4131 Movement

One of the most direct ways to identify a Dandong 4131 movement is to examine the balance wheel post structure.

A standard Dandong 4131 uses two balance wheel posts.

The thicker one is positioned below and the thinner one is positioned above.

This structure is difficult for other lower grade movements to reproduce accurately.

If you open the caseback and the balance wheel post structure does not look correct, it may be a Shanghai movement or an older movement being presented as a Dandong 4131.

In that situation, I would recommend returning the watch.

The normal factory regulation of a VS Factory 4131 is around six to seven seconds fast per day.

This is the standard factory adjustment and should not automatically be considered a defect.

If accuracy is important, the movement can be regulated more precisely.

A properly regulated VS 4131 can run very accurately.

For normal daily wear, the total deviation over one week can be kept within approximately half a minute.

Compared with other factories using the Dandong 4131 movement, the current situation is as follows.

VS Factory was one of the earliest factories to use the Dandong 4131. Its movement regulation is relatively stable, with factory timing usually around six to seven seconds fast per day.

C Factory has already stopped production. It only switched from a Shanghai movement to the Dandong movement during the first half of 2025. It entered the market relatively late, although most of its popular models were eventually upgraded.

BT Factory also uses the Dandong 4131 and a purpose built integrated movement construction. It shares the same general movement source as VS, although the dial workmanship is slightly behind VS.

UFO Factory also uses the Dandong 4131 in its free sprung version, but its overall market positioning is more mid range.

VS Factory 4131 Black Ceramic Daytona Workmanship

One of the main VS Factory 4131 models is the stainless steel Daytona with a black dial and ceramic bezel.

The complete watch weighs approximately 142 grams.

The genuine watch weighs around 145 grams.

The difference is only three grams.

This is already an excellent result in the replica watch market.

Some weighted QF Factory versions can reach approximately 152 grams, bringing them even closer to the genuine weight.

However, QF achieves this through additional weighting rather than using a normal stainless steel construction.

For a standard stainless steel version, 142 grams is already very close.

Looking at the workmanship in detail, several areas stand out.

The ceramic bezel uses laser engraved markings.

The bezel has a deep black appearance, and the fonts around the three, six, and nine positions are extremely close to those on the genuine watch.

Very small differences may only become visible under high magnification.

The dial printing is also well executed.

VS Factory uses a pressure printing process that gives the logo a raised three dimensional appearance similar to the genuine dial.

The lettering is sharp and the edges do not look blurred.

The three subdials include the 30 minute chronograph counter, the 12 hour chronograph counter, and the small seconds display.

The concentric patterns on these three subdials are reproduced carefully.

VS Factory also reproduces much of the fine brushed texture found on the genuine watch.

The hands receive an additional polishing process.

Their shine is noticeably better than on many ordinary replica versions.

Under daylight, they can produce a mirror like reflection.

The bracelet uses the Rolex style three link Oyster construction and is made from 904L stainless steel.

It also includes an Easylink extension system, with a construction designed to reproduce the genuine bracelet.

VS Factory vs BT Factory vs UFO Factory Panda Daytona

Among the main 4131 models, the Panda Daytona receives the most inquiries.

I have compared versions from these factories directly, so here is my conclusion.

VS Factory 4131 Panda Daytona is priced at under RMB 4,000 and is currently one of the strongest top grade options in terms of overall value.

C Factory 4131 Panda Daytona is no longer being supplied.

Its previous factory price was around RMB 3,750, which was actually slightly more expensive than VS.

However, after sales support is now extremely limited because production has stopped.

BT Factory 4131 is priced at a similar level to VS.

It offers very good value for money, although the dial details are slightly behind VS.

UFO Factory 4131 with the free sprung design is positioned more toward the mid range.

The price is lower, but it may not be the best choice for buyers who are very demanding about small details.

The selection logic is fairly simple.

If your budget is below RMB 4,000, I would choose VS Factory.

Among current 4131 models, it offers one of the best combinations of workmanship, movement stability, after sales support, and movement regulation.

If your budget is tighter, BT Factory is another option.

Its movement comes from the same Dandong 4131 family used by VS, although some dial and case details are slightly less refined.

For buyers who do not pay close attention to very small differences, BT is generally sufficient.

If you are looking for the highest possible level of detail, you may want to watch for future VS Factory updates.

VS is still making small improvements, and additional upgraded batches may appear during the second half of 2026.

VS Factory Rolex Daytona 4131 Price

The current retail price range for VS Factory 4131 Daytona models is generally as follows.

The main stainless steel models, including the black ceramic Daytona, Panda Daytona, and grey dial rubber strap Daytona, are generally priced between $788 and $900.

Rose gold, yellow gold, and diamond versions cost more because of differences in materials and stone setting processes.

Free sprung versions from factories such as UFO are generally positioned at a lower price level, although I would personally prefer the VS version.

Before shipping a VS Factory 4131, I personally check the movement accuracy and overall workmanship to make sure the watch meets the expected standard.

If timing accuracy is important, the movement can also be regulated more precisely.

The VS Factory 4131 Daytona is suitable for people who have already worn entry level Rolex models such as the Submariner or Datejust and want to move up to a Daytona.

It is also suitable for people who place a high priority on movement stability and want a watch that can be worn regularly for several years.

It is suitable for buyers who care about timing accuracy and want the movement professionally regulated.

It is also a good choice for people who like classic sports models such as the Panda Daytona and black ceramic Daytona.

It may not be the best choice for someone with a very limited budget who only cares about getting a similar appearance.

In that case, BT Factory or a more entry level version may be sufficient.

For buyers who specifically want the appearance and feel of a gold watch, it makes more sense to consider a VS Factory rose gold or yellow gold version rather than buying a stainless steel model and regretting the choice later.
